Kinston-Ena Mae Rogers Brown, 87 passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. She was a retired sales clerk with Belk Department Store. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Pearlie Whaley Rogers, her husband, Melvin E. Brown, Sr. and a daughter, Patricia Brown. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Survivors include her son, Melvin E. Brown, Jr and wife, Evelyn of Goose Creek, SC; her sisters, Rosa Eastham and Betty Ezzell, both of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Thomas E. "Tom" Brown and wife, Holly of Atlanta, GA, Sandra K. Curry and husband, Keith and William H. "Willie" Brown and wife, Nickie, all of Summerville, SC; four great grandchildren, Lance, Will, Logan and Carly.
