Gracie Allen (Summerlin) Acuna

Gracie Allen Summerlin Acuna, 69, of Kinston passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at her home. She loved her family and her work with disabled children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Hinson and Dora Mae; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn and Brenda Hinson; three sisters and two brothers.

Gracie is survived by her husband, Senovio Acuna of the home; daughters, Rebecca Grady and husband Sam of Kinston, Soila Acuna of Austin, TX and Mireya Chalanbaga and husband Daniel of Austin, TX; sons, Charles Ray Cooper, Jr. and wife Candace and Lorenzo Acuna and wife Clara both of Kinston; eighteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Anna Mae Thigpen and husband Herman of Kinston and brother, Lynwood Summerlin and wife Beth of Snow Hill.   

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Garner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Ledford officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
