Helen Marie (Howard) Connor

Helen Marie Howard Connor, 90, of Kinston passed away peacefully on Monday, August 06, 2018 at her home.  She was a retired credit manager with Woolco Department Store in Kinston, NC.  She was a “wonderful” and loving mother. Her most recent accomplishment in life was being a very proud “Mema” to her 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Howard and Katie Pollock Howard; and husband, Arnold Connor, Jr.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Debra C. Davis and husband Carl, Jr. of Deep Run; sons, Arnold “Butch” Connor, III and wife Melynie of Atlantic Beach, Ralph “Skippy” Connor of Kinston and Alan Connor of Kinston; sister, Sarah French of Dover, NC; Brothers, Charles Howard of Deep Run and Jerry Howard of Tar Heel, NC.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am Wednesday August 8, 2018 at Garner Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be held following the visitation with Reverend Jack Mumford officiating.  Burial will be held at Pinelawn Memorial Park following the funeral service. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
