James Smith Obituary
James Edgar Smith, 92, of Grifton passed away on February 14, 2018 at his home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gibson Tom Smith and Sally Beatrice Price Smith. He is also preceded by his first wife, Ethel Mayo Smith and his second wife, Susie Harrison Smith.
James is survived by his daughter, Janice Smith Bowen of Grifton; son, James “Jim” Edgar Smith, Jr. of Grifton; step children, Connie Benson of Pantego, Al Clark of Chocowinity, Cheryl Reed of Chocowinity, and Fred C. Mills, III of Angier; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 16, 2018 at 12:00 p.m., at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Knox officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 11:00-12:00 p.m. The burial is to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
