Leslie Scott Obituary

Leslie Carlton “L.C.” Scott, 79, of Kinston passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Born in Jones County, he was the son of the late William L. and Ruby Mae Waller Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Merritt Scott along with several brothers and sisters.

L.C. Was a faithful lifetime member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. He proudly served his country with the U. S. Army.

Survivors include daughters, Melissa Scott Padgett and husband Kendall, Melinda Scott Turner and husband Chris, and Leslie Renee Scott, all of Kinston; grandchildren, Austin Reid Howard, Tanner Wade Scott, Lucas Shawn Scott, Jacob Daniel Scott, Nicholas Brett Turner, MacKenzie Lee Padgett, Megan Jessica Padgett, and Christopher Shane Turner.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018 in the Chapel of Garner Funeral Home with visitation to follow and other times at the home. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Pine Crest Cemetery, Warsaw, NC.
