Lettie Louise "Grace" (Koonce) White

Lettie Louise Koonce “Grace” White, 82, of Dover passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at UNC Lenoir Health Care.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Koonce and Elizabeth Smith Koonce; husband, Carroll White; and son, Michael White.

She graduated from Dover High School, was a member at Moseley’s Creek Free Will Baptist Church, and was a lifelong member of Woodmen of the World. Grace enjoyed spending time with her friends, neighbors, family, and looked forward to her afternoon Bojangles roundtable meal. Her most favorite pass time was fishing off the pier at Atlantic Beach. Grace’s most recent love, was play time with her great grandchild who called her “Meme ‘Dace.” She was a good neighbor, friend, and mother, who be greatly missed.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Sandra Mallard and husband Randall of New Bern; grandchildren, Megan Small and husband Bryan and Ryan Mallard of New Bern; great-grandchild, Kallie Carmen; sister-in-law, Glenda Lane and husband Gherman of Dover; special family friend, Amy Wetherington.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2018, at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Bob Fussell officiating.
