Allen Potter went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the age of 55, after a courageous battle with MDS. He was known for his 30 plus years of professional painting experience.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Rebecca Turner Potter.
Allen is survived by his wife, Sheila Potter; daughters, Kristen Alphin and husband Jacob of LaGrange, Kayla Smith and husband Brian of Raleigh, Kelsey Potter of Kinston, and Jordan Harrison of LaGrange; grandchildren, Wade Alphin, Miles Alphin, Harrison Smith, and Claire Smith; sister, Kathy Potter Stroud and friend Davis Williams of LaGrange; brother, Chuck Potter and wife Angie of Kinston, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Garner Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Allen Ham officiating. Burial to follow the service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
