Mavis (Jones) Jarman

Mavis Jones Jarman, 85, of Trenton passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018, at UNC Lenoir Health Care.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Horace Jarman; parents, Fred and Katie Jones and brothers, Robert Jones and Fred Jones, Jr.

Mavis is survived by her daughter, Vicky Jarman Stroud and husband William of Kinston; son, Jeffery Ray Jarman of Trenton, grandchildren, Jennifer Stroud Hughes and husband Marshall, Valerie Stroud and fiancé John Whitehead, William Brandon Stroud; great grandchildren, Chandler Blake Hughes, Hayden Cole Hughes, Denver Ryan Whitehead, Aeralyn Jade Stroud and Kinleigh Raye Stroud; sister, Sally Jones, Patricia Bogey; brother, Reynold Jones and wife Patricia; sister-in-law, Syble Jones Taylor; several nieces and nephews and church family.

Funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Lloyd Lynwood Jones, Jr. officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018 at Trenton Cemetery.
