Susan Margaret (Tripp) Jones

Susan Tripp Jones, 73, of Kinston passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandma and great grandma.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, James and Emily Tripp; brothers, James “Jay” Henry Tripp, Jr., Norman Wells Tripp and Dalton Beverly Tripp.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George Douglas Jones; daughter, Rebecca Jones Garner and husband Paul of Kinston; sons, Timothy Douglas Jones and wife Sharon of FL and James Franklin Jones and wife Holly of Holly Springs; grandchildren, Stephen Garner, Cody Garner and wife Emily, Bryce Jones, Amanda Jones, Sarah Jones, Matthew Jones and Emily Jones; great grandson, Duncan Edward Grey Garner; sister, Barbara Tripp Johnson and husband David of Hugo; sister-in-law, Frances Tripp of Rocky Mount and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Garner Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jon Hoover officiating.  Burial will be held following the visitation at Westview Cemetery.
