Tammy Dorene (Murphy) Harris

Tammy Dorene Murphy Harris, 59, of La Grange passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Wake Medical Hospital in Raleigh. She enjoyed family and friends, traveling to the mountains, bingo and bowling. She was always willing to lead a helping hand and she will be missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Ray Harris.

Tammy is survived by her daughters, Jami Harris and husband Duane, Tina Harris and friend Dowell, Melissa Sutton and husband Woody; grandchildren, Thomas Howard and wife Ashley, Taylor Kite and husband Aaron, Destiny Jones, Maliah Jones and two great grandchildren, Lynnze Howard and David Howard.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Garner Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Harris officiating. Visitation will follow the memorial service and other times at her home on Wednesday September 26, 2018 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lenoir County Red Cross, 1500 N. Queen Street, Kinston, NC 28501.
