Tommy Ray Harris LaGrange-Tommy Ray Harris, 65 passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a retired truck driver with 37 years of service with Smithfield Packing. Tommy was a member of Revival Mission Church and a member of NC Bowlers Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie and Hazel Williams Harris and his sister, Jean Lewis. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Ernie Watson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Interment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Tammy Harris of the home; his daughters, Lillian Burroughs of New Bern, Melissa Sutton and husband, Woody of Wyse Fork, Tina Harper of LaGrange and Jami Harris and husband, Duane of Goldsboro; his brothers, Dalton Harris and wife, Carol of Kinston and Robert Harris and wife, Linda of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren, Krystal Burroughs, Ryan Burroughs, T J Howard, Taylor Sutton and Destiny Jones; and two great grandchildren, Tracy and Frederick Burroughs.
