Vivian Wade Tilghman, 95, of Kinston, North Carolina passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 in Goldsboro, NC

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, March 4, 2019,  at Garner Funeral Home with the Reverend Allen Ham, officiating with visitation following. There will be a private graveside service.

Vivian Wade Tilghman was born in Greene County, NC to Harvey & Rosa Wade on October 18, 1923.  She was retired from Servitex Linen Services of Kinston, NC. She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Kinston, NC.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis Everette Tilghman, Sr, her son, Louis Everette Tilghman, and siblings, James Calvin “JC” Wade, Joyce Wade Jones & Shirley Wade Hobbs.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Tilghman Hill (Ricky Hill) of Snow Hill, NC; Grandchildren: Louis Everette Tilghman, III (Melinda Tilghman) of Kinston, NC, Amy Tilghman Martinez of Palestine, TX, Christopher Alan Hill (Jennifer Hill) of Morehead City, NC, Jason Riley Hill (Carol Hill) of Washington, NC, Wade Tilghman & Megan Elizabeth Tilghman, both of Palestine, TX. Great Grandchildren; Benjamin Allen Tilghman, Brittany Nicole Tilghman, & Lilly Kathryn Hill; Sisters, Geraldine Wade Casey, Alice Wade Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Louis Everette Tilghman, III, Christopher Alan Hill, Jason Riley Hill, Paul Casey, Dennis Hatcher & Benjamin Allen Tilghman.
