Adele Lee Bell Thompson

Adele Lee Bell Thompson, 97, formally of Kinston passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the home of her granddaughter in Holly Springs. She was the daughter of the late Berkley Lee and Celia Malpass Lee Carter. She was owner/operator of Adele’s Beauty Shop for over 35 years.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Lonnie Vester Bell and Ottis Thompson.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Vester Bell and wife Nita of Kinston and Jack A. Bell and wife Mary of Stella; grandchildren, Kari Bell Huggins and husband Glenn, Lindsay Bell Jones, LaDonna Bell Harbertson and husband Mark, Nathan Berkley Bell and wife Stephanie, Lauren Bell Jensen and husband Josh, Sawyer Phillips Bell and Coleman Bell Becton; great grandchildren, Taylor and Jack “Dylan” Cade, Maren, Rowe and June Jones, Lonna and Bryce Harbertson, Cora, Lukas and Hunter Bell, Ozkar, Maia, Siena and Sabastian Jensen and Carter Becton and her brother, Homer L. Carter.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 with Bishop Jeff Howard officiating at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Carey Road. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
