Alton "Buck" Wiggins, Jr.

In loving memory of Alton “Buck” Wiggins, Jr., 83, of Kinston went to his heavenly Home on Monday, April 20, 2026.

Family was very important to Buck. He valued his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Buck dedicated most of his career to farming. He was a simple man and enjoyed racing.  

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Lena Antwine and Linda W. Eason; brothers, Franklin “Pete” Wiggins, Lloyd E. Wiggins; parents, Alton, Sr. and Ida Mae Herring Wiggins; grandson, RJ Gay.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Helen Whaley Wiggins of the home; daughters, Sandra Kay Wiggins Harris and husband Bobby of Kinston, Ida Wiggins Gay and husband Melvin of Kinston; grandchildren, Loretta Carter and husband David, Amanda Harris, Jeremy Alton Gay and wife McKayla, B.J. Harris; great grandchildren, Michael, Lillian, Candice, Danielle, Ericha, Alex, Maddox and Graydon; sister, Debra Wiggins Moody of Kinston; brother, Michael Wiggins and wife Judy of Kinston and very faithful companion, Millie.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Dixon officiating.
