Ann Lou (Pittman) Johnson

Ann Lou Pittman Johnson, 89, of Kinston passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at UNC Lenoir Health Care surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jerry Johnson.  

Ann was a loving mother and grandmother.  Queen Ann loved her family, children, and grandchildren as one.  She retired from JCPenney Catalog Department.  After she retired she enjoyed having a yard sale and collecting antiques.  She was a devoted Christian and truly lived a God-honoring life.  Throughout all the twists and turns with her health she demonstrated what it meant to simply “trust and obey.” 

Ann is survived by her sons, Randy Johnson and wife Linda and Jeff Johnson and wife Shari “Fat Mommie”, grandchildren, Jennifer Spence (Neil), Bobbi Ann Colie (John), Jamie Johnson (Janice), and Kelly Futrell (Zach); great grandchildren, Summer, Jenna, Bryce, Brody, Blaze; brother, Bobby Pittman; special family friends, Robert Cogdell and Adele Duke.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jeff Daughtry.
