Anna (Stracner) McDaniel

Anna Stracner McDaniel, 96, of Kinston passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her son, Richard Eugene McDaniel and husband, Alford Ray McDaniel; mother, Virginia Dixon Stracner and father, Ira Eugene Stracner.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Amy McDaniel Smith and husband William G. Smith III of Atlantic Beach, Catherine McDaniel McGuckin and husband James of Savage, MI; sons, Alton David McDaniel of Kinston and Allen Ray McDaniel of TX; six grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, June Alston of DeQuincy, LA; brothers, Wencil Stracner and wife Norma of DeRidder, LA and Don Stracner and wife Lyndal of Leesville, LA.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Queen Street Methodist Church. Funeral service will start at 3:00 p.m. following the visitation. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2026 at Westview Cemetery.
