Annie Mae (Kornegay) Foy

Annie Mae Kornegay Foy, 89, of Kinston passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at her home.

Family was top priority with Annie Mae, she raised six kids and helped with her grandchildren. Annie Mae was a loving, caring person and was loved by many. She deeply cared about her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch swing. Annie Mae will be dearly missed by all.

Annie Mae is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Kitty Kornegay; brothers, Marvin Kornegay and Sam Kornegay, Jr.; nephew, Gary Kornegay and son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Starling.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 70 years, Manly Foy; daughters, Ann Foy Young, Betty Eubanks (Ronnie), Hilda Starling, Wanda Medico; sons, Llyod Ray Foy (Gloria) and Edgar Foy (Joy); ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Grace Liggan; numerous friends and extended family.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Garner Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 12:00 noon with Richard Parker officiating. The burial will be held following the funeral at Trenton City Cemetery.
