Betty Bowen Obituary
Betty Jane Bowen, 90, of Deep Run, passed away unexpectedly at her home Tuesday, June 30, 2026 of natural causes. She is survived by her only granddaughter and caretaker, Melissa Lee Hill and her husband Dewayne Michael Hill also of Deep Run.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Wallace Earl Bowen. Betty was born on October 28th, 1935. She worked at Kinston Shirt Factory her whole life until it went out of business. Her daughter Pat and granddaughter Melissa and her husband Mike were the loves of her life. Everywhere you saw her granddaughter you saw Betty. She is also preceded in death by her three sisters, Christine Stallings, Nellie Mae Warren and Beatrice Daughtey all of Kinston, NC.
