Billy Carroll Stepps

Billy Carroll Stepps, 84, of Kinston passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

He lived his life with strong love for his family. Billy was his son Timmy’s best friend in the whole wide world. He loved to help Timmy build apartments and houses. His wife was the love of his life and cared for her until she passed. Billy had a way of saying things that would make you laugh. And when he felt strong about something there was no changing his mind. His life can never be summed up in a few words. If he seen you as a friend, he left a lasting mark on your life. No one could tell how it is as good as him. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for his grandkids. He had a hard shell but he was soft on the inside. Billy knew when to be hard and when to be kind. He was truly a one and only special person. Billy will be loved and missed dearly from all of us. We love you always.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Macie Stepps.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Timmy Stepps and wife Barbara; grandchildren, Bailey Stepps and Tyler Adesso; great grandchildren, Jessa Adesso; special friend, Tommy McCall.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Lynn Jones officiating.
