Blanche Pate Obituary

Blanche Smith “Sue” Pate, 86, of Kinston passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Alice Smith; brothers, Hubert Smith, Leroy Smith, and Casper Smith, Jr.

Sue is survived by her husband of 66 years, Leo Pate of the home; daughters, Jennifer Pate Evans and husband James of Kinston, Kelly Pate Davis and husband R.J. of Dover; grandchildren, Jaime Evans Carroll and husband Trey and Robert Davis, III; special friend, Barbara Vause and her Bojangles friends.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2018, at Garner Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow the funeral service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to the Lenoir County SPCA, 2455 Rouse Rd. Ext., Kinston, NC 28504.
