Bonnie Marie (Thigpen) Whitfield

Bonnie Thigpen Whitfield, 61, of LaGrange passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at her home.

She loved going to the beach, looking for shark’s teeth and seashells. Bonnie enjoyed boating and traveling with David, especially hockey games. Monday nights were mostly spent playing Music BINGO with her friends. She enjoyed taking the grandchildren to their ballgames, parties and recitals. That’s where she got the name “Moo-Moo”.  Bonnie will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Clara Thigpen; special fur baby, Bebe; and in-laws, Clarence Whitfield and Lizzie Mae Grady.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 20 years, David Whitfield; daughters, Ciara Thigpen and Skyler Whitfield; son, David “Lil David” Whitfield, Jr. and wife Kristan; grandchildren, Kayla, Jamie, Julius, Ashlynn, Addie, Zoey, Mia, Fynnlee, Fisher, Karris, Kaylynn, Hunter; sister, Carolyn Holland (Jeff); nieces, Kara “My Twin” Holland and Samantha “Little Grasshopper” Holland; several cousins; special family friends, Christine and George Boyette; Brooke Grady and her children, Elisha Grady and Baby Boy Grady Due January.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Sandy Bottom Vol. Fire Department with speakers Jill Lee and David Pearson. The family is accepting friends at the home of Carolyn Holland and Jeff Eubanks in Pink Hill, NC.
