Brantley Herbert Dawson, Sr.

Brantley Herbert Dawson, Sr., 77, of Kinston passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at UNC Lenoir in Kinston.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Dawson; and brother, Richard P. Dawson, Jr., parents, Richard P. Dawson and Thelma Ruth Dawson.

Brantley is survived by his son, Brantley Dawson, Jr. and wife Hope Dawson of Kinston; grandchildren, Lee Dawson and fiancé, Laykin Goff, Victoria Dawson and boyfriend Jacob Hoffman; great grandchild, Hannah Dawson; sisters, Annette Peadon of Pink Hill, Dennie Smith of Trenton; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 at Garner Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Norman Davis officiating. The burial will be held following the funeral at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
