Cecil Ray Jones

Cecil Ray Jones, of Deep Run passed away at UNC Lenoir Health Care on Friday, October 27, 2023. He loved farming of the land, tractors, and fishing. He loved spending time with his family when he wasn’t working. He loved his fur baby, Katie.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie Parker Jones; daughter, Melissa Jones Suarez; parents, Robert and Carrie Jones, and several brothers and sisters.

Cecil is survived by his son, Michael Jones and wife Donna; daughter, Robin Jones Vega and husband Santiago; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Cole Jones, and Doris Perez; numerous nieces and nephews; several loving neighbors and friends.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Garner Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Richard Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill, NC.
