Cecil Smith

Cecil Smith, 82, of Kinston passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

He was passionate about auto mechanics. Cecil was known for bring straight forward. He was a loving brother a family man and will be deeply missed.

Cecil is preceded in death by his mother, Leona Smith.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Linda Hughes of the home; daughters, Brenda Andrick (Bob) of Richlands and Shannon Throneberry (Todd) of Goldsboro; sons, Marshall Hughes (Jennifer) of Kinston and Floyd Stanley, Jr. (Renee) of Kinston; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, Lousetta Coker,

Brenda Coker; brother, Venice Brown (Lindsey) of Snow Hill; special friends, Ricky and Jeanie Ezzell and Joe Wade; numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Garner Funeral Home.
