Charles "Chuck" Elbert Thomas, Jr.

Charles “Chuck” Elbert Thomas, Jr., 72, of Kinston passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at  UNC Lenoir Healthcare. He was a proud patriot and a Vietnam Veteran.

Chuck is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Richard; parents, Charles and Mary Ruth Thomas; sisters, Barbara White, Cathy Smith; and brother, Carroll Thomas.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughters, Bobbi Jo Pittsley and husband Robert,  Allison Thomas and fiancé, Derrick Warren; sons, Robert Lee Thomas and his partner Mary Beth, Charles “Chuckie” Thomas, Samuel “Sammy” Thomas, David Thomas; grandchildren, Robbie, Jake, Ashlyn, Lucas, Gavin, Naomi, Laura Jean, Charlotte, Charlie; sisters, Jean Vincent and husband Tim, Kim Yeaton; numerous nieces and nephews; several special cousins.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Garner Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2025 at Philyaw Family Cemetery in Comfort, NC.
