Celebrating the Life of Christopher “Colt” Harrell
On December 11, 2025, we said goodbye to Christopher “Colt” Harrell, 63, of Kinston, NC at UNC Chapel Hill.
Colt was a proud Marine, a sharpshooter, and a man who loved the simple joys of life—western movies, riding his Harley, target shooting, and spending time with family. His greatest happiness came from being with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.
Colt’s memory lives on through his wife, Betsy Harrell; his mother, Kae Watts; daughters, Kimberly Harrell, Bailey Harrell, and Kara Tucker; grandchildren, Kadence Vincent and Bodie Harrell; sister, Jennifer Shewell; and brother, Dan Shewell.
He joins his son, Josh Tucker, and father, Frank “Bodie” Harrell, in eternal rest.
Family and friends will gather to honor Colt at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at The Hometown Exchange, 121 W. Gordon Street, Suite B, Kinston, NC. Please do not send or bring flowers. If you’d like to, please make a donation to either the National Rifle Association or the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society in Colt’s name (Christopher Colt Harrell)!
Ride free, Colt. You’ll always be in our hearts.
