Clifton "Clip" Perry Morris

Clifton “Clip” Perry Morris, 95, of Kinston passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the North Carolina State Veterans Home in Kinston. Clip kept his sense of humor until the very end. He will now reunite with his buddies and his wife. Clip and his wife, Myrtle, were members on Southwood Christian Memorial Church in Kinston. He was a Lenoir County Shriner with the Richard Caswell Lodge for 60 years. He owned Morris Brother’s Lincoln-Mercury Car Dealership with his brother H.M. Jr. and his father H.M. Sr. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Rose Elmore Morris; parents, Herbert “H.M.” Morris, Sr. and Florence Baker Morris; brothers, H.M. Jr., Roger, Lloyd; and sister, Nellie.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Morris Riggan and husband Thomas Allen Riggan, Jr.; granddaughter, Sallie Allen Riggan; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Neal Elmore; special friend, Rick Vernon.

Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2023 at Westview Cemetery with Pastor Rick Vernon officiating.
