Cora (Rhodes) Hill

Cora Rhodes Hill, 91, of LaGrange passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her home.

Cora is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin Hill; grandson, Ivey (Jay) Hill, Jr. and brothers and sisters.

Everyone that knew her, loved her and she loved them too. She loved her family but she had a special love for animals. Cora also was great in the kitchen. She would cook corn bread, biscuits, chicken & pastry, and fried chicken for her family to enjoy. Cora had an affinity for gardening. She would grow flowers and loved tending to her garden. She had a collection of dolls and loved yard sales. Cora had a special bond with her fur babies, Max and Monico.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Gladys Skinner (Johnny), Joyce Fisher (Ken), Judy Whitley; sons, Earl Hill and Ivey (Buddy) Hill (Beverly); grandchildren, Paula Halligan (Michael), Johnny Skinner, Jr., Jessica Baker, Jenny Gray (Donnie), Ken Fisher III (Ashley), Stacey Jones (Corky), Bethany Hill and Ethan Hill; sixteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; special friends and family, Lou Tucker, Josephine White, Betty Jean Hyman, Doris Caton, Deanna Smith, the family would like to extend a very special thank you to the phenomenal aids, nurses, chaplain and social worker with Community Home Care and Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Garner Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Seth Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
