David Ward Heath

David Ward Heath, 77, of Kinston passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at his home.

David loved gospel music; he had a gospel group called “Crossing Jordan”. He worked with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office for 12 years as a Deputy Sheriff.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Jean Heath of the home; daughter, Crystal Williams; sons, Chris Heath and wife Lori, Wayne Heath and wife Brittany; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Cunningham; brother, Curt Heath and wife Mary; nephews, Dwayne Harman and Ricky Harman; niece, Beverly Rouse.

The family would like to say thank you to Gentiva Hospice, and a special thank you to Nan Kennedy.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
