Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Sykes

Deborah Sykes died peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her three sons: Chris Syers (fiancée Dominique), Kevin Syers (wife Jennifer), and Darren Syers; her two brothers, Eddie Sykes (wife Marica) and Jeff Sykes; her sister, Gwen Sykes; her grandchildren, Layila, Caleb, Kane, Gideon, and Grayson; her niece, Samantha Heath; and her aunt, Linda Woody.

She spent a life fully devoted to her family, raising her grandchildren, and celebrating Jesus with her church family at 902 Church.

Her love of old Christmas movies, Coke (the drink, not the drug), and Elton John was surpassed only by her love of her kids and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Dylan Syers, and her parents, Grace and Edward Sykes.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm at 902 Church in Kinston, NC, with visitations following the service. Come as you are, no need to dress up. We are celebrating a life lived on earth and a soul that has entered eternity.
