With sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Debra Lynn Stewart, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, and preschool teacher. Debbie was born on January 5, 1964, to William and Gladys Sanderbeck in Pittsburgh, PA. She passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024, leaving a legacy of love and compassion.
Debbie dedicated her life to nurturing young minds as a devoted preschool teacher, summer camp coordinator, and Sunday school teacher, touching countless children's lives with her kindness and patience. Her passion for education was evident in every interaction she had, and her impact will be felt for generations.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Debbie found her greatest joy in her family. She was Michael’s cherished wife, her devoted partner in life's journey for 33 years. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and warmth.
Debbie's pride and joy were her daughter, Erin, and son-in-law, Kelvin. She was a pillar of strength and support for them, always offering guidance and unconditional love. Her family was her greatest source of happiness; she treasured every moment spent with them.
Debbie will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, gentle spirit, and endless love for her family and students.
She is survived by her husband Michael (Kinston), daughter Erin and son-in-law Kelvin (Kinston), mother Gladys Sanderbeck (Pittsburgh, PA), brother Michael Sanderbeck (Houston, TX), many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Though she may be gone, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A visitation service will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024 Garner Funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Yaeger officiating.
Debbie Stewart will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.
