Delphen Chavis Suggs

Delphen Chavis Suggs, 74, of Kinston passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022.

God was Del’s top priority, and she was family oriented. Del loved to sing, cook and travel to Shannon, NC to visit her sister and family. She loved big and if you knew her, you were blessed. Prayers, it didn’t matter who needed or where at, she would stop to pray.

Del is preceded in death by her husband, JK Suggs; parents, Raymond Chavis and Inez Revels Chavis; siblings, Jeanette C. Locklear, Bessie C. Mills, Raymond “Buddy” Chavis, Barbara C. Freeman, Orenda C. Hardin, Joe Chavis, Elisha Chavis, Dorothy C. Farrell.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Amanda Suggs and Angela Suggs; Siblings, Kathy C. Locklear of Shannon; special niece, Cindy Taylor of Shannon.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Westview Cemetery with Rev. William Locklear officiating.
