Donald Ray Landes

Donald Ray Landes, 66, of Chocowinity passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at his home.

He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Don loved going out on the boat and fishing. He was an avid music fan. Don especially loved “Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was very talented at his woodworking projects. Don loved his cocker spaniels, Shane and Savannah.

Don is preceded in death by his infant sister, Jeannie; parents, Charles and Doris Landes; late wife, Deb Landes.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Faust of Chocowinity; sisters, Dolores Johnson of Pennsylvania, Linda McManus of Pennsylvania; brothers, David Landes of New Jersey, Ronald Landes of Pennsylvania; nieces and nephews; Tiffany, Joshua, Melissa, Jared, Natasha, Ian, and Kevin; also great niece and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Garner Funeral Home with Cyrus Taylor officiating. The visitation will follow after the memorial service.
