Dorothy Irene (Harris) Brown

Dorothy Irene Harris Brown, 88, of Kinston, NC passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Lynnette Brown. Sister, Jessie Booth and husband Huey. Brothers, Alden Harris Sr., Martin Harris, and Clifford Harris. Nephew, Larry Harris.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Carroll Brown; sons, Darrell Ray Brown and wife Brenda K. Brown of Pink Hill, NC, Julian Keith Brown and wife Cathy P. Brown of Southport, NC, Derek Lee Brown and wife Sheralyn D. Brown of Clayton, NC; grandchildren, Charity Tyndall and husband Scotty, Joshua Brown and wife Jamie, Jonathan Brown, Jessica Brown, Lindsey Coty and husband Andrew, and Christopher Brown; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Heath, Anah Heath, Kayden Heath, Elliott Brown, Emmett Brown, and Sophia Brown; nieces and nephews, Kim Harris, Cheryl Ann Harris, David Harris, Alden Harris Jr., Frances Walker.

A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Rivermont Baptist Church in Kinston, NC. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Glassie Locklear officiating with a burial to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
