Dorothy Rae (Haynes) Cameron

Dorothy Rae Haynes Cameron, 91, of Kinston passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at her home. Dorothy was a proud occupational therapist for a number of years. She enjoyed going to church services, gardening, and painting.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Eugene Cameron Sr.; son, Ray Cameron; parents, Junius and Blanche Haynes; brother, Charles Haynes.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Joe Cameron (Susan); grandchildren, Sheila Flores (Lu), JoAnn Thaxton (Nick); grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Antony, Isabella; great-great grandchildren, Alice Rose, Evie Raine; special caregiver, Ella Gomez.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Garner Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Joshua Howell officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Westview Cemetery.
