Eddie Ray Thomas

Eddie Ray Thomas, age 62, of Kinston, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at ECU Medical Center, Greenville, NC.  He was predeceased by his parents, James Henry Thomas and Barbara Ann Yearwood Thomas and brother, James Marshall “Buckwheat” Thomas.

Eddie worked for the Housing Authority in maintenance for the City of Kinston. 

He is survived by significant other, Debra Moody of the home; son, Christopher Thomas and wife, Barbara of New Bern; stepdaughter, Lindsey Keyes; grandchildren, D’Nasja Jones, Demetrius Keyes and Damien Keyes and sisters, Debbie Eubanks of Maple Hill and Jenny Cook and husband, Jim of Pollocksville.

Visitation will be held at Garner Funeral Home Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Trenton City Cemetery with Pastor Steven Mercer officiating.
