Frances Harrison Pittman, 95, of Kinston went to her Heavenly home Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Harmony Hall. A native of Lenoir County, she was born July 31, 1926, the oldest child of Richard and Annie Blanches Davis Harrison. She was a long-time member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. She had a great love for children. She had a home daycare and later worked many years for the daycare at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. Her favorite hobby was taking care of her many flower beds and her favorite of all her flowers were roses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Joseph Pittman; brothers, Joseph, Cecil and William Harrison; sister, Lillie McCoy. Survivors include her son, Joey Pittman and Gina Waters; grandchildren, Kayla Baysden (fiancé, Trey Hancock) and Hunter Baysden (Chrystal); great grandchild, Everett Baysden; sisters, Mary Mason (R.H.), Ruby Tyndall (Bob), Evelyn White (Ivy); sister-in-law, Ann Harrison.
A celebration of Frances’ life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Truett and Pastor Bert Potter officiating. Visitation will be held following the service and other times at the home of Ruby and Bob Tyndall,757 Tyree Road, Kinston, NC.
Interment service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montford Landing Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, Diabetic Association or your choice.
