Glenda & Ghermon (Rose & Chic) Lane

Glenda & Ghermon (Rose & Chic) Lane of Merritt went to meet Jesus on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Carolina East Medical Center after a sudden illness. After almost 60 years of always being seen together, they have now started the next chapter of their life together.

We will always remember them on the porch of their home at the river, watching the sun set. That was their happy place. They both were very involved in their community and church. Though no children of their own, they loved all their nieces and nephews and watching their babies grow and to some their babies as well. They will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved them.

Glenda is survived by her one niece, two nephews and six great nieces and nephews.

Ghermon is survived by his sister, Linda Justice; brother, Thomas Lane; three nieces, three nephews and eleven great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Garner Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Clint White officiating. Entombment will follow the funeral service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
