Hazel Jarman Smith, 96, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at her home. She loved drinking Dr. Pepper and helping anyone in need. Hazel was a member of the Northwood Temple in Fayetteville. Her favorite saying was “Lord please help me to be a steppingstone, not a stumbling block”, also her favorite bible verse was Psalm 91.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Allen Smith; parents, Jerry Elbert Jarman and Nette Becton Jarman; sons, Steven Wayne Smith and Rusty Smith; grandson, Jason Daniel Smith; sisters, Carrie Jarman Jackson, Peggy Jarman Jones, Grace Pearl Jarman Holoman, and brother, Jerry Elbert Jarman.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sylvia Jones and husband Pete; grandchildren, Christy Jones, Adam Smith, Staci Graybill and husband Brian; great grandchildren, Joslyn Lacosse and Connor Graybill; sister, Sally Jarman Lane.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday September 13, 2022 at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor David Jarman officiating. Burial will be held following the funeral service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
