Irene Blanche (Herring) Williams

Irene Blanche Herring Williams, 76, of Kinston passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Harmony Hall. Ms. Irene was never negative about anything that came her way. She loved to read, loved life, walking and loved word searches.

She is preceded in death by husband, Nelson Alton Carter Sr.; sister, Maxine Smith and brother, Rodger Herring.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Ann Scott; sons, Nelson Alton Carter, Jr.; grandchildren, Thomas W. Westbrook, Candice Sutton and Jessica Westbrook; great grandchildren, Aaron Sutton, Johnea Sutton, Jarmarie Sutton, Shianne Westbrook, Hannah Westbrook, Andrew Sutton, Malakice Taylor and Dakota Taylor; brothers, Livington David Herring and Ralph Herring.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Garner Funeral Home
