Iris "Faye" (Brown) White

Iris Faye White, 78,  passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 surrounded by her family. Faye loved sitting outside on her porch to listen to the birds. She got her love of flowers from her mother and was fortunate enough to enjoy a room full of flowers her last couple of days on earth. Her faith in the Lord never waivered no matter what battle or challenge she ever encountered. There is no doubt she is whole again and dancing. She loved to dance or "daynce" as she would say in her truest Southern drawl which tickled all of her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Eleanor C. Brown, daughter Ellie Q. Kennedy, granddaughter Lindsey Whitley,  brothers-  Alvin Ray Brown, Orville "Buddy" Brown, and Irvin Brown. 

Survivors are her loving sister, Marie Everette, son Robert Quinn, Jr (Terecia), daughter Teresa Heath (Stacy), grandchildren, Amber Weston(Derrick), Bryce Kennedy (Jena), Bryant Kennedy, April Quinn, Scotty Johnson, Hannah Heath, Karmen Heath, son-in-law Barney Kennedy and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Since Faye was able to enjoy flowers before her passing, the family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Calvery Baptist Church, PO Box 1822, Kinston, NC 28503.
