James Earl Barnes, Jr., 58, of Kinston passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at UNC Lenoir Health Care.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Claudia Barnes; father, James Barnes, Sr. and brother, Eddie Johnson.

James was a die hard Carolina Panthers fan. He loved sports and you could always find him in his shop fixing and making things. James loved doing things and spend time with his sister. Daisey Mae, his loving dog, was his true best friend.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Lisa Barnes and special friend, Garland Smith; man’s best friend, Daisy Mae Barnes; nieces, Ashley Beaudin and Stacey Britt; nephews, Christopher Jarman, Rodney Jarman, Jr. and Timothy Jarman; children, Gabby and Alex.

Celebration of life will be held at the home of Lisa Barnes and Daisy Mae.
