Janet Katherine Richard, 63, of Kinston passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at her home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Ruth Richard.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Charles Thomas; daughters, Bobbi Jo Pittsley and husband Robert and Allison Thomas; sons, Robert Lee Thomas and his partner Mary Beth, Charles “Chuckie” Thomas, Samuel “Sammy” Thomas, David Thomas; grandchildren, Robbie, Jake, Ashlyn, Lucas, Gavin, Naomi, Laura Jean, Charlotte, Charlie; sisters, Dianne Richard, Cheryl Crowley, Lynn Adams, Kelly Irving; numerous nieces and nephews; several special cousins.

Visitations will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Garner Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Philyaw Family Cemetery in Comfort, NC.
