Janice Carol (Harper) Smith

Janice Carol Smith. passed away on Friday, January 21,2022 at Durham Regional Hospital in Durham. She is preceded in death by her parents, James "Clarence" Harper and Mary Hill Harper, sister; Mary Harper 'Doodle" Broadhurst and brother, Charles Kenneth Harper.

She is survived by her husband of 62 yrs, Wayne Smith, Sr. of the home, sons; Wayne H. Smith, Jr of Durham, Shawn Smith and wife Melinda of Myrtle Beach, Grandchild; Luke Smith and one sister, France Harper Powell, of CA.

Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed camping, going to myrtle beach and traveling  around the country with the " Leisure Travel Tour Company' that she and her husband founded. she was a graduate of Watt's Hospital of Nursing and a member of Graystone Baptist, and taught sunday school for 57 years.

Graveside service will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Harper Family Cemetery, 258 south Pink Hill NC.
