Jesse Giles Harper

Jesse Giles Harper, 57, of Kinston passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, at UNC Lenoir Healthcare.

Jesse worked many years with the NC Forestry Service as a Regional Equipment Supervisor and retired in 2018. Then he started working with WASA in Kinston as an Operator in 2019. Jesse loved his family, gardening, and being outside. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Josephine Harper and grandparents, Leo and Ruby Harper.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Jennifer Harper; son, Levi Johnson and wife Abigail; grandchildren, Isabelle, Eleanor and Lincoln; sister, Patsy Burrus and his beloved boxer, Lizzie.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Stroud Cemetery at 210 Alexander Rouse Rd. Kinston, NC 28504
