John Reuben Webb, 56, of Kinston, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at his home.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Davis and Helen Webb.
Reuben was born in Lenoir County on February 10, 1969. He was a loving and devoted brother and uncle and will be greatly missed. His sudden passing leaves our world a little less colorful.
Reuben loved people and never met a stranger, giving everyone he met a great big hug. If you ever ate at Bojangles or Wendy’s, it’s very likely that Reuben cleaned your table and probably gave you one of his hugs. His spirit and smile were infectious. His loyalty to his family and friends was unwavering. He was kind, generous, and brought joy to everyone he met.
Reuben was always listening to music, especially Guns N’ Roses and all his other favorite rock bands. When not playing music, he was watching his absolute favorite show, Scooby Doo. Reuben loved everything Scooby Doo. Reuben enjoyed his time with family during holidays and family gatherings. His light will forever shine in our hearts.
Left to cherish his memories are his sisters, Annette Webb Turik and husband, Scott, Donna Webb and husband, Randy; nephews, Jonathan McDonald and wife, Trisha, Kenneth McDonald and wife, Brandi, Caleb Turik and Kai Turik; and great neices and nephews, Adam McDonald, Nate McDonald, Aidia McDonald, Mazie Hardison and Lilly Hardison.
Special thanks to Howells Support Services and RHA Health Services for your years of care and devotion to Reuben, especially his beloved Miss V, Vonita Sessoms. He loved you all.
