Johnny Elvin Jones

Johnny Elvin Jones, 71, of Kinston went to his Heavenly home Monday, April 4, 2022 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville surrounded by his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Pearlie Jones; brothers, Jessie Lee Jones, Ottis “Buddy” Jones and Willard Jones.

Left to cherish his memory is his significant other, Jessie Hawkins; daughters, Christina Lynn Hawkins and Lisa Hawkins Hill and husband Robert Hill, Jr.; son, Jamie Allen Hawkins; grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Hill, Brandon Allen Whitley and wife Monica Whitley, Robert Brent Hill; great grandchildren, Cameron Whitley, Cecil Andrews, Dalton Peay, Madison Marrs and Blake Hill; sister, Annie Liza Boyette; brother, Haywood “Buck” Jones; six nieces and two nephews.

Public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022 and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Garner Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Trenton City Cemetery.
