Judy Olivia (Waters) Thigpen

Judy Waters Thigpen, 84, of Kinston passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at UNC Lenoir Health Care.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Ray Thigpen; parents, Ivey and Nora Waters.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Tina Thigpen Stapleton and friend, Thomas Schroeder of Holly Springs; son, Ray Thigpen and wife Cathy of Bushnell, FL; granddaughter, Lindsey Coley and husband Brian of Durham; grandson, Justin Croom and Fiancée Ashley Smith of Zebulon; great granddaughter, Ava Smith of Zebulon; sister, Brenda Jarman of Kinston; nieces, Nora Jenkins and Belinda Jackson both of Kinston.

Visitation will be held 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Garner Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2023 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jimmy Sowers officiating.
