June Mills Obituary
June Salony Mills, 89, of Jacksonville passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at North Carolina State Veterans Home in Kinston.
The family would like to express gratitude to the caregivers, nurses, PT/OT department and NC State Veteran’s Home in Kinston.
June was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her parrot (Sam) for 37 years as well as many pups and cats over the years.
June was Catholic by faith and member of Marine Widows association and Women’s Marine Association providing community services in the Onslow county area.

June is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Eugene Mills and parents, John and Marie Salony.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Janet Mills Shadle (Tim); sons, Charles Eugene Mills and Robert John Mills (Reneé); grandchildren, Leslie Jamieson (Kevin) and Charles Eugene Mills, Jr.; great grandchildren, Charlotte Jamieson.
