Karen Annette Turner Brooks, 65, of Pink Hill passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at UNC Lenoir Healthcare. Annette was a very passionate reader, you could tell that by the amount of books that she had. She would love to listen to music and mostly by The Temptations. One of her favorite places to go and visit was at White Lake. Anyone who knew Annette knew that she had a great personality and was a loving, giving and very passionate person. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchild, family and friends and she going to be missed dearly.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Lynwood and Geraldine Turner and her beloved dog, Mattie.
Left to cherish her memory is her children, Ashley Pittman and Derrick Pittman; grandchildren, Kaylee Pittman, Madison Rogers, Trayce Pittman and Kholten Pittman; great grandchild, Kyndall Hetzel; special friends, Ronnie and Pam Hall; special aunt, Priscilla Smith and numerous other extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2024 at Garner Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Pittman officiating. The burial will be held following the funeral service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, at the request of the family donations be made to Garner Funeral Home.
